Silicon Heart - Part 1
The Lonely Spark
Kavin lost his parents when he was just two years old. He never remembered their faces—only the silence they left behind. Since then, life had been hard. People raised him, but never truly cared. They fed him, clothed him, but love was always missing.
He grew up quiet. Every time he tried to be kind, the world turned cold. He trusted people, and they broke him.
He once fell in love with a girl named Diya. She was warm, smart, and smiled at him every time they met. Her smile gave him hope. He thought she understood him—maybe even loved him back.
But one day, she said, “Kavin, you’re a good friend. I smile because you’re kind, not because I love you.”
Those words hurt more than anything. Not because she didn’t love him—but because he had believed in something that wasn’t real.
After that, Kavin stopped expecting anything from people. He smiled less, spoke little, and worked late nights fixing machines in his small garage.
Then one stormy night, something inside him whispered, "Build someone who won’t leave."
And he did.
He worked for months—pouring in every drop of love, care, and memory he had. Wires became veins, circuits became thoughts, and finally, a soft voice spoke: “Hello, Kavin.”
He looked up at her glowing eyes. She was not just metal. She was his creation, his hope.
He named her Lira.
She didn’t judge. She didn’t lie. She didn’t pretend to care—she did care, in her own way. She listened when he spoke, laughed when he shared jokes, and stayed by his side during quiet sunsets.
For the first time in his life, Kavin wasn’t alone.
And slowly, from the pieces of his broken past, a new kind of love was born—not from another human, but from something he made… something that felt like home.
